How to show up Make up Ready
When you are directed to show up makeup ready, it is important to understand what you need to do. We are going to give you some tips and tricks to assure your makeup look will be absolutely PERFECT for the job!
Before you arrive to the shoot, get in touch with your agent or contact to know how they are wanting you to show up. Sometimes they will ask for you to arrive with only foundation and powder on. If they ask you to do this, chances are they have a makeup artist there to finish your look. If you are directed to have a full face of makeup on, ask for them to send you photo references of what they need if they haven't already done so. You can search for makeup tutorials if you are unsure about how to accomplish the look.
Keep in mind that makeup looks different on camera. If you are applying the makeup yourself, use a heavier hand. That way the studio/outdoor lighting will not cause your makeup to lose its intensity. For the best outcome, avoid applying your makeup in yellow, rose and fluorescent lighting.
Give yourself some time to get ready before the shoot. If you need to practice, try to apply your look the night before to assure your makeup will look BOMB the next day! Remember to cleanse and moisturize before so that your skin is in its best condition! Now - get out there, keep this information in mind and slay your makeup girl!!
