Maintain a Fit Physique
Models are held to a higher standard when it comes to physical fitness. It is known, and expected that the job of a model includes having a fit physique.
A practical reason for being fit for the job is studio lighting. It is harsh and can be unflattering. Models who want to work e-commerce website shoots need be in good physical shape, which means muscle tone is imperative.
Studio lights are not physique friendly, and can soften shape. It is even more apparent when models are shot crop face, the primary focus then becomes all about the body. Maintaining nicely toned arms and shapely legs is critical.
Fitness, swim, and lingerie models are held to a different standard than most models for their physical fitness requirements. Essentially, they are expected to be swim suit ready on demand. This article will not address those specific physical and nutritional requirements.
Do keep in mind, that a fit, toned body, which is realistic to your natural shape, adds to your overall appeal as a model. There is such a thing as being skinny fat- thin with no definition or tone, so remember being too thin doesn't equal bookings. Work on becoming a healthy and fit you.
This is not a call to lose weight. Rather, to think about including physical exercise into your daily lifestyle. The goal is to see definition in your arms and legs. Pilates, yoga, swimming and lifting weights are a few of many forms of exercise to keep your body in shape. Even simple daily walking increases tone and shape of your legs.
